Goes on smooth, doesn't cross thread at all. It did fall off once but that was my fault, just make sure it's tight and you're good to go.

Excellent threaded barrels and thread protectors.
Combat Armory makes excellent products. So far, I've bought 3 threaded 9mm barrels and three thread protectors. The craftsmanship is excellent as are the materials used to produce the barrels and thread protectors. And the price is the absolute best I've seen for both.
