Works great without any modifications. I've put 400 rounds through it in the first day out and it ran flawlessly once I learned two things. First, the mag does not have an anti-tilt follower so when you load the mag, you need to make sure all of the rounds' noses are facing up. If you don't, you'll get failure to feed. To fix this, once loaded with 24 rounds, pull the mag spring down via the button and run something small along the sides of the rounds via the see through part of the mag to make sure they're all nose up, make sure nothing pointed down. Second, don't use any noncoated, pure lead nosed bullets without some type of coating on the outside such as Blazers. They're too soft and get gouged by the bolt leading to jams. Once I loaded rounds like Remington, Winchester, etc, it ran like a top. I figured I'd try a few different types to see what would cause issues and it seems if they're dirt cheap rounds with a plain lead head and no coating whatsoever, they'll lead to issues. As far as recoil, it's like shooting a semi-auto BB gun. My gun has an aggressive brake and ALG trigger and it ran flawless once I learned about the mag and the quality of ammo. I was worried after reading forum posts about having to make modifications, but it has run like a top.

I installed the .22 conversion kit in my Hellpup, and it worked fine without any adjustments or modifications. Very pleased.
